Federica has been inking people in this glorious industry of body art since 2006, she is a selfthought Tattoo Artist from Italy and has spent two years tattooing friends and family before started full time at a tattoo studio near an American base. She moved to New Zealand in 2015 and worked all around the country before making Christchurch her home. 

Fede’s studies in art go as far back as she can remember…

At 3 years old she was already drawing animals and puppets. Soon, Fede expanded to the characters, objects, and people her friends would ask her to draw and color. With the strong support of her awesome parents she continued to move forward turning her passion into a full time carrer.

Fede attended art school at college, and graduated at Accademy of Fine Art in Venice with a degree in Painting and Visual Arts.

Federica works in many mediums such as pencil, pen, watercolor, acrylics, oil painting, digital graphics, clothing. Always trying to keep learning new and creative ways to bring them into tattooing.

She enjoys most types of tattoo art, but by far her favorites styles are trash polka, watercolors, realism, she also loves a good mix of styles. The use of black lines and bright, saturated colors speak to her as an artist.

A little about Fede’s philosophy:

Tattooing is much more than a job, it’s a way of life. Tattoo artists are no ordinary humans. They’re special. They’re called to a higher purpose: to give people permament memories to wear for life, to make them more like themselves, to heal old traumas even. There is a big difference between a tattooist that simply apply a design on skin and a Tattoo Artist which means treating every client as a unique person, and being able to handle that uniqueness. As an Artist, Federica will be able to filter the client idea to get it down on their skin in a way that’s not just appealing but also true: an expression of who they really are. Her patience and gentile nature will make you appreciate even more the process as a magic experience not to be forgotten.
