Kia ora! I’m Sophie and I specialise in illustrative linework tattoos. I love making flash designs inspired by vintage illustrations, ornaments, plants, and animals, and enjoy creating custom designs that are in a similar realm. I especially like creating tattoos of people’s sentimental objects and cars, and also like doing a bit of text/script tattooing.

My tattoo career began at the start of 2023 in Pōneke/Wellington – I did an apprenticeship and have since tattooed as a resident artist in a couple of Pōneke studios. Prior to tattooing, my background was in graphic and typographic design, so my design process and eye for detail are definitely influenced by this. Ōtautahi is where I grew up, so I’m very happy to be back, immersing myself in the local art scene, getting out in nature, and spending time with my family.
